I didn't like the way it went
It surely was improper
This couldn't have been heaven sent
The lies, the tricks, the horror!
But then I thought of Joseph
Who was sold out by his brothers
I remembered that he suffered
So that he could rescue others
And I also thought of Daniel
He didn't have a say so
He had to live in Babylon
When he wished he could have said NO
The situation you are in
May not be your ideal
But when you're in the furnace
You will find out God is real
So don't complain or grumble
You're only in a season
Trust in the one who's in control
In time, you'll know the reason
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:20
The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king. 2:47-49

The Choice
I had a choice
I made a choice
To speak life or speak death
The choice I made
Was soon displayed
My choice was manifest
The ending is your choice:
1) The choice I made
was soon displayed
Alas, my choice was death!
2) The choice I made
was soon displayed
Oh joy, I am so blessed!
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

The Plan
When I was born
I didn't know
There was a perfect plan for me
But now I know
That all along
That plan was written in eternity.
~Della Smith 3/19/2010
Jeremiah 1:5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet into the nations.

A Tear Fell
A tear fell
A heart broke
But as it fell
A prayer it wrote
For the strongest prayers
Are without words
A prayer of tears
Is always heard

"Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?" Psalm 56:8
"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them who obey him..." Hebrews 5:7-9
